Happy 2019!

How time does fly. Hard to believe but nominations season will soon be here. Serving on the board for nearly four years has been a great way to get to know so many members that I might not have met otherwise. I urge you to consider both giving back to Newcomers through your service and also to reflect on how you will benefit if you choose to share in the work of keeping this great organization going. Eileen Higham will be looking for members to serve on a nominating committee. Over the next few months the committee will contact members to fill open positions. The new board will be installed at the spring luncheon in May. Here's the really good news: if you're interested in serving on the board you can nominate yourself! Give Eileen a call at 860-651-3260. She'd love to hear from you.

Looking forward to seeing you all on January 26th at the North House.  Don't forget your dancing shoes. Last year nearly everyone made it onto the dance floor. No partner? No problem!  We had groups dancing the night away, and the food will undoubtedly be a delight.

Wine & Women is a fun and casual group that meets once a month, at a member’s home, usually on the third Thursday night of the month. Everyone brings a bottle of wine or other beverage of choice and an appetizer or dessert to share. It’s fun to meet new members and reconnect with friends. And, of course, you don’t have to drink wine to enjoy an evening out with this lively crowd!  We welcome members to join the group at any time during the year. If you are not currently on our email distribution list, please email Cheryl or Sarah with your name, telephone number, and email.

Our next gathering of the season will be held on Thursday, January 17th at 7:00 pm, at the home of Holly Beum. Please bring an appetizer or dessert, and a beverage to share with the group. You will receive a reminder email the week before the event with the location details and you can RSVP by replying to the email. Please RSVP by January 15th.

SAVE THESE DATES: February 21, March 21, April 25, May 16, and June 7 (a Friday date for “Wine, Women and Guest”). Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to open their home to our group. We still need hostesses for March and June
